Daka

The skull found in the Dakanihylo layer, within the Bouri Formation in Ethiopia shows large occipital arches, characteristic of most members of Homo erectus in Africa, but also outside of Africa. The skull is very robust, with thick skull vault bones. The skull shows morphological similarities with Asian members of the species Homo erectus.
