Ores

According to the type of metal obtained from the ore, we distinguish between:

copper (Cu) ores – chalcopyrite, covellite, chalcosine, bornite, cuprite, malachite, azurite
silver (Ag) ores – argentite and silver-bearing lead and copper ores
iron ores (Fe) – hematite, magnetite, limonite, siderite
tin ore (Sn) – cassiterite
antimony (Sb) ore  - stibnite
manganese (Mn) ore – pyrolusite, psilomelane, manganite, braunite
chromium (Cr) ore  – chromite
aluminium (Al) ore – bauxite
cobalt (Co) and nickel (Ni) ore - skutterudite
Zinc (Zn) ore – sphalerite, smithsonite
lead (Pb) ore – galena
native ores (containing precious metals in the elemental state) – gold (Au), silver (Ag), platinum (Fri)
