ALTERNATION OF SEXUAL AND 
ASEXUAL REPRODUCTION – CNIDARIANS

In Cnidarians, there are two life forms: the polyp (asexual generation) and the medusa (sexual generation), in a cycle called metagenesis. Here you can see the alternation in hydroids (Hydrozoa), genus Obelia, which form colonies resembling small shrubs and branches.
